Amazing service! My electrician was on time, professional, and incredibly skilled. They explained everything clearly and made sure the job was done perfectly. Super trustworthy and easy to work with. I highly recommend them to anyone needing quality electrical work!
A couple of very nice guys that were straight forward and willing listen to my need and work with what I wanted to get done. They were quick but cleaned up and put everything back after they were done. Could not be happier and will be calling them back any time I need electrical work done.

More about emergency and exit lighting
Exit signs mark the path of egress, and emergency lights illuminate that path if normal power fails. In most commercial buildings these are required by the building and fire codes, and the electrical side has to be done properly: correct circuiting, unswitched connections where required, and equipment that actually works when it is called on.
Emergency lighting is typically provided by battery units, which carry fixtures through an outage for a limited period, or by central battery or generator-backed systems in larger buildings. Which approach fits depends on the building, the design documents and the authority having jurisdiction.
We install new systems for tenant improvements and renovations, and we replace aging or failed units in existing Minnesota buildings. Locations and quantities come from your plans or the inspecting authority's requirements, and we do not guess at them.
When you need it
- Exit signs are dark, dim, damaged or missing in a building that is open to the public or employees
- Battery units fail testing or no longer hold a charge
- A tenant improvement or remodel changes the layout and the egress path
- A fire marshal, inspector or insurer has cited emergency or exit lighting
- Stairwells, corridors or exterior exits are not lit if power is lost
- A building has changed use or occupancy and the requirements may have changed
- Older signs and units are being replaced with LED equipment
What’s included, in detail
Ceiling, wall or end-mounted signs placed to the plan, with directional arrows as required.
Battery-backed fixtures, including combination exit and emergency units, in corridors, stairs and rooms.
Additional lighting heads and weather-rated fixtures for exits and paths outside.
Connection to the correct circuit so the unit senses loss of normal power.
Swapping out old units, batteries and signs for current equipment.
We verify the units operate on battery before we leave.
Work is permitted and inspected as required for the project.
Our process
- Confirm requirements
We work from your drawings or the inspector's list to establish what goes where.
- Plan the circuits
We identify the correct source for each unit so it monitors normal power.
- Install the equipment
Signs and units are mounted and wired, often alongside other lighting work.
- Test and inspect
We test operation on battery, and the work goes through inspection.
More questions
Will this pass the fire marshal's inspection?
